Gunshot In La Grange Park Police Incident: Authorities
Officers took the person into custody within a minute of the gunshot, police said.
LA GRANGE PARK, IL – La Grange Park police said they were called to a house Wednesday afternoon about a person in distress.
Shortly before 1 p.m., officers spoke with the person through a slightly ajar front door in the 800 block of Sherwood Road, according to a news release.
The person informed the officers about possessing several guns. As officers temporarily retreated from the house, they said they heard what seemed to be a single gunshot, police said.

The officers were then successful in continuing to speak with the person, who then complied with their commands. The person was taken into custody within a minute of the gunshot, police said. No one was reported injured.
The person was taken to an area hospital for an evaluation, police said.
