It starts at 7 a.m. at the Mobil gas station, 1101 N. La Grange Road, which is on the northeast corner of 31st Street and La Grange Road.

La Grange Park police will direct traffic during the gas giveaway for the safety of drivers and pedestrians, according to a village news release.

Drivers will only be allowed to enter the Mobil station from the westbound 31st curb lane, the village said. Motorists will then only be allowed to exit the station on northbound La Grange Road.

Heavy traffic is expected in the area beginning early Thursday morning. Access to 31st Street will be temporarily restricted, and residents are urged to use 30th Street to Forest Road to cross over and enter 31st Street, the village said.
