LA GRANGE, IL – On Monday, La Grange Village Manager Andrianna Peterson was praised for her 16 years of service to the village. Her last day was Friday.
The thing that was not said – her next career step.
It turns out she is Hinsdale's new assistant village manager, where she started Monday. Her position is newly created.

Hinsdale's other assistant village manager is Brad Bloom, whose focus continues to be public safety. He is a former Hinsdale police chief.
The Hinsdale Village Board apparently did not need to approve Peterson's hiring. Messages have been left with Hinsdale officials.

Peterson's departure was publicly revealed Thursday, a day before she left. The information was contained inside the packet for the La Grange Village Board's Monday meeting.
Peterson did not return a message last week about her plans.
In La Grange, Charity Jones, the village's community development director, has been appointed the acting manager while a search is conducted.
At Monday's La Grange Village Board meeting, officials hailed Peterson's work for the village.
