How Much Of LTHS Is Air-Conditioned
The school is still without complete climate control on its campuses, an official said.

LA GRANGE, IL – Lyons Township High School has made progress in recent years in increasing the number of classrooms that are air-conditioned.
But with temperatures expected to hover near 100 for the next couple of days, the school is going to an early dismissal schedule Wednesday and Thursday.
As for rooms at the high school, 44 percent at North Campus and 30 percent at South Campus are without air conditioning or modern air ventilation systems, Superintendent Brian Waterman told the school board Monday.

"So we're not there yet in terms of having complete climate control on our campuses," Waterman said.
Under the early dismissal schedule, classes will be from 7:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday will not be a late start day, the school said. The idea with early dismissal is that students will be dismissed before temperatures increase in the afternoon, Waterman said in a statement to the community.
