George and Mary Carroll Dougherty of La Grange hosted a 1920’s soirée styled after The Great Gatsby at their home this past Saturday evening to benefit Pillars. As guests approached the home, they were transformed to a different era with antique cars lined in front and the sounds of a live band playing music from the decade. Over 100 guests donned in their best 1920's attire and enjoyed a fun filled evening of dancing, playing croquet on the lawn and sampling food from the era cooked by host George Dougherty. The weather cooperated and the super moon beamed a magical cast on the home.
