Even a big industrial developer struggled to find a way to get in touch with the board president.

LA GRANGE, IL – You're not alone if you're having a hard time reaching Lyons Township High School board members.

On its website, the school makes no contact information available for board members.

That's unlike similarly sized Hinsdale High School District 86, which lists the members' district email addresses. So do Elmhurst District 205 and La Grange District 105.

La Grange District 102 and Pleasant Dale District 107 provide email addresses for their boards as a whole. Lyons Township does the same at boe@lths.net.

It's not just Lyons Township constituents who have trouble reaching members. So did developer Bridge Industrial, which is trying to buy the school's property in Willow Springs.

After the developer offered $65 million for the land, its representative emailed top school officials. He was able to get board Vice President Alison Kelly's email address. (It's on her campaign Facebook page.)

But the representative apparently struggled to find the address for board President Kari Dillon. He asked the school to forward his message to her.

Patch has sent inquiries to Dillon through private messaging on her Facebook page. She has not responded.

Through a public records request, Patch obtained the email from the Bridge representative. In that email, the school blacked out Kelly's email address. Apparently, it considers that private information.

Residents could leave phone messages for board members at the school's office.

The members do not work in the school. They are unpaid and part time.

The members are Dillon, Kelly, Jill Grech, Julie Swinehart, Michael Thomas, Jill Beda Daniels and Dawn Aubert.
