Jim Donahue State Farm is Collecting Back to School Supplies

For Pillars Community Health Saturday, August 24th

Jim Donahue State Farm is sponsoring a Back to School Supply Drive benefiting Pillars Community Health's Early Childhood Services (Head Start, Early Head Start, and Child Care). On Saturday, August 24, 2019, from 10 a.m. to noon, drop off new school supplies at the Jim Donahue State Farm Office, located at 1005 E. 31st St. La Grange Park, Ill. If you can’t make the event on the 24th, they will accept donations the week before and after the event.

“We wanted to do something for the community and thought school supplies are something everyone needs this time of year. By working with Pillars Community Heath, we know the supplies will be put to good use and benefit this area,” said Jim Donahue, State Farm Agent. “We are hoping to collect enough items to really make an impact, and we need the community’s help to accomplish that goal.”

The supplies needed include rulers, sharpeners, loose-leaf paper, wide-ruled notebooks, pencil cases, two-pocket folders or binders, Ziploc bags, pencils, safety scissors, glue sticks, glue bottles, erasers, markers, crayons, backpacks, watercolor paint, paper towels, and tissue boxes.

A donation box has been set up at the office and the supplies will be dropped off prior to the start of school. “We know what a generous community we live in, and are looking forward to demonstrating that support with our donations,” Donahue said.

Updates will be shared on the Jim Donahue State Farm Facebook page and on The Pillars Community Health page: Facebook.com/PillarsCommunityHealth.
