Key Endless Summer Event Being Replaced
Organizers are looking for a safer alternative at La Grange's annual fest.
LA GRANGE, IL – As always, La Grange's Endless Summerfest is set to offer a carnival, entertainment, food and drinks.
But fireworks are missing from the schedule this year. Organizers are planning a laser light show, instead.
At Monday's Village Board meeting, organizer Cathy Domanico said she and others have been looking for safer, more economical alternatives to fireworks. Organizers are working with Laser Encore for a laser show.

Village Trustee Beth Augustine said she liked the route that organizers were taking, given the air quality, the drought and the cost of fireworks.
"I think some of these sky shows are absolutely amazing," Augustine said. "It will be a fresh take. Thanks for pursuing that."
