Kick Off Summer At La Grange Carnival
The carnival will feature thrill rides and games, live music, food and fun.

LA GRANGE, IL — The La Grange Carnival will roll into town June 1 through 3 with thrill rides and games, live music, food and fun, according to the La Grange Business Association. The all-ages carnival will feature rides with LED light displays, family favorites like bumper cars and Ferris wheel, games of chance, kiddie rides and concessions from Windy City Amusements.
The association said the carnival is located on Harris Avenue between La Grange Road and Ashland Avenue and will also offer a beer tent and food from local establishments as well as traditional carnival concessions.
Carnival hours are 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday, noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 9 p.m. on Sunday. Value-priced unlimited ride specials are available at selected times throughout the weekend.

The La Grange Carnival helps fund the many free, family events organized by the La Grange Business Association such as the summer art project, the farmers market, the West End Arts Festival, the Halloween Walk and Hometown Holiday.
"Carnival weekend is an important part of our calendar," Kathy Dierkes, the business association's board president, said in a release. "It allows us to host so many events that make La Grange a top entertainment choice."

Fornaro Law is the presenting sponsor of the event. Several local businesses are also sponsors and will have tents on-site including: Boyce Chiropractic, Club Pilates La Grange, Mathnasium and Flying High Sports & Rec Center. The carnival is held with the cooperation of the Village of La Grange.
"This is a street festival that brings the neighborhood together," Phil Fornaro said in a release. "It acknowledges the partnership between small businesses and residents and celebrates everything that's good about living in a close-knit community."
The association said live local entertainment is scheduled throughout the weekend.

A highlight of the weekend is the annual La Grange Pet Parade which steps off at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 2 from Cossitt Avenue and La Grange Road. The parade is organized by Pet Parade Charities. To celebrate the weekend, carnival-goers are invited to post their pictures on social media with #lovelagrange and tagging the La Grange Business Association.
