La Grange Area Gets Stormwater Money
The money is coming from the federal government, an area agency says.
LA GRANGE, IL – A suburban stormwater agency is giving money for projects in La Grange, La Grange Park and La Grange Highlands, officials said.
Earlier this week, Metropolitan Water Reclamation District officials announced $20 million in grants for communities throughout suburban Cook County.
The money is coming from the federal American Rescue Plan Act.

According to a news release, La Grange Highlands is getting $1 million for unspecified stormwater improvements.
La Grange and La Grange Park are receiving $325,000 and $300,000, respectively, for sewer backup prevention programs.
