La Grange-Area Man's Repeated Violations Of Order: Cops
He was found guilty of domestic battery in 2021 and must stay away from a woman, police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – A La Grange Highlands man has violated at least twice an order of protection that resulted from a domestic battery conviction, La Grange police said.
Daniel Barcelona, 56, who lives in the 6100 block of South Brainard Avenue, faces charges of criminal trespassing and violations of an order of protection.

In March 2021, Barcelona was found guilty of misdemeanor domestic battery, according to the report. That's when the two-year order of protection took effect.
Under the order, Barcelona is to have no contact with the woman who was the victim of the domestic battery, police said.

In early July, the woman showed numerous instances in which Barcelona called her, police said. She said he sounded intoxicated in his voicemails, according to the report.
The night of July 6, La Grange police were called to the victim's house because of an apparent violation of the order of protection, the report said.
A doorbell video showed Barcelona opening the porch door, ringing the bell and knocking, police said. The woman said she did not answer.
Shortly after, La Grange police took Barcelona into custody.
When police stopped him, Barcelona's speech and slow reaction time indicated he may be intoxicated, according to the report. He struggled to state his old address, but he admitted he was at the woman's house, police said.
His belongings included two small bottles of vodka, police said.
