“The Legacy Guild Scholars program has grown into a dedicated support network for local students and surviving spouses who have suffered a significant loss," Legacy Guild Scholarship Committee Member Andrew James of La Grange said, in a release. "It’s more than a scholarship; it’s about helping these young women and men navigate college, find internships and ultimately get jobs after college. It is very humbling to meet these Scholars and hear their stories.”

According to a release, The Legacy Guild was formed in 2012 by a group of men from La Grange and surrounding areas drawn together after a cluster of sudden and unexpected deaths of some great friends and neighbors. The Guild formed within weeks of these tragic events to offer support to each other and to transcend grief and sorrow.
