LA GRANGE, IL – Gilbert Avenue is the dividing line between La Grange and Western Springs.

Rather than each village working on its side of the road, they are planning a joint project to resurface the entire width of the street in 2026.

"We worked together instead of doing either the east side or the west side," La Grange Village President Mark Kuchler said at Monday's Village Board meeting.

The project will be from 47th Street to Ogden Avenue, officials said.
