LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange is in litigation with the owner of the building that once housed Nicksons Eatery, 30 S. La Grange Road, until it closed 2-1/2 years ago.
During Monday's Village Board meeting, Trustee Beth Augustine spoke about the building. She called the building a "blight."

Cook County records list a Riverdale-based company, Lunick LLC, as the recipient of property tax bills. However, Lunick, which is associated with Nicksons, conveyed the property to Park Ridge-based 30 La Grange LLC in October 2021, according to the county clerk's records. The warranty deed stated all subsequent property tax bills were to be sent to 30 La Grange LLC. It is unclear why that has not happened.
Village President Mark Kuchler agreed with Augustine about the building.
