La Grange Gets Hail, But Not As Severe As Other Places
A nearby town warned residents about roofing scammers who tend to come out of the woodwork after a storm.

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange has received reports of hail Tuesday night, but it apparently wasn't as severe as neighboring towns, according to the village.
On Wednesday, nearby Darien put residents on alert for roofing scammers. The city said it had received numerous requests for door-to-door solicitor licenses from roofing companies.
The attorney general has put out tips to detect such scammers.

As of Wednesday afternoon, La Grange had not received any requests for solicitor permits from contractors, Village Manager Jack Knight said in an email.
Daniel Eftimoff, an insurance adjuster from La Grange, said a lot of contractors come out of the woodwork after storms. He said many legitimate companies are out there.

"I'm skeptical of those who are headquartered out of state and who have flimsy business cards that show some local address when they just came over from three states over," Eftimoff said in an interview. "Google is your friend. I don't want to see people get taken advantage of."
