La Grange Holds Hometown Holiday

LA GRANGE, IL — Visit downtown La Grange and enjoy the Hometown Holiday event and the Holiday Walk. According to the La Grange Business Association, the event will feature carolers, ice sculptures, a petting zoo, pony rides and free trolleys. Santa will also arrive by firetruck to light the giant Christmas tree.

The holiday event will be held throughout downtown La Grange on Saturday, Dec. 2.

The schedule of events is as follows:

• 3 p.m. - Free holiday movie matinee of "Elf" at La Grange Theatre
• 4 p.m. - Holiday Sing-along with the Salt Creek Chamber Orchestra at First United Methodist Church
• 4:30 p.m. - Create a Green Screen Holiday Card at La Grange Library
• 4:45 p.m. - All Village Sing led by LTHS Madrigal Choir
• 5 p.m. - Merchant Open Houses begin with free trolley rides, ice sculptures, petting zoo, pony rides and carolers
• 5:30 p.m. - Santa arrives by firetruck to light a giant Christmas tree at Village Hall
• 6 p.m. - Visits with Santa; outdoor carolling
• 7 p.m. - Kidworks Touring Theatre: "Holidays Around the World" at the La Grange Library
• 9 p.m. - Open houses and activities end
