La Grange Homeless Man Agrees To Move: Village

The man had been offered assistance multiple times, an official said.

LA GRANGE, IL – A homeless person who has lived near La Grange Road and Ogden Avenue has moved, La Grange reported late last week.

"There was an individual in this location that had voluntarily agreed to relocate and dispose of unwanted belongings this afternoon," Village Manager Jack Knight said in an email to Patch on Friday. "He had been offered assistance multiple times, as recently as this afternoon, which were refused."

Charities say the number of homeless people in Illinois and across the country has risen in recent years.

La Grange has a homeless shelter, called Beds Plus at 9601 Ogden Ave.
