La Grange Makes Memorial Day Plans With Pandemic Precautions
In observance of Memorial Day, Village Hall offices will be closed.

The Village of La Grange and Robert E. Coulter American Legion Post 1941 will remember those who have died in the service of our country on Memorial Day - May 25, 2020.

The American Legion Post 1941 requests that flags be flown at half staff from sun up until noon on Memorial Day. This year, the traditional ceremony has been modified. Beginning at 9 a.m. on Memorial Day, all residents are asked to observe a moment of silence as the Lyons Township High School North Campus bells chime 107 times in remembrance of the 107 residents of Lyons Township who died in the service of defending our country since the Civil War.
Due to the Memorial Day holiday, Republic Services will have modified refuse / recycling pick up dates during the week of May 25. Modified holiday refuse pick up dates for residents north of 47th will be Tuesday, May 26 and south of 47th will be Friday, May 29. Normal refuse / recycling service will resume Monday, June 1.
