La Grange Man Assaults Officer: Cops

The incident happened at the local hospital, police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange police released their latest blotter Friday. Here is information from the reports:

  • Austin Williams, 27, of La Grange, was arrested about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the La Grange hospital, 5101 Willow Springs Road, on charges of aggravated assault of an officer and obstruction of an officer. Police said they responded to a disturbance. They attempted to take Williams into custody, but he "actively resisted," according to a report.
  • Valentin Garcia Rodriguez, 21, of Chicago, was cited about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at La Grange Road and 50th Street on charges of no valid driver's license and driving with an expired registration.
  • A child's bicycle was stolen between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday in the front of La Grange Public Library, 10 W. Cossitt Ave. The bike was unlocked. It was valued at $800.
  • An officer noticed a broken fire extinguisher and a missing extinguisher about 1:30 a.m. Thursday at the parking garage at 80 Sixth Ave.
