La Grange Man Charged With Assault In Downtown: Cops

LA GRANGE, IL – In recent days, La Grange police handled cases involving aggravated assault, battery, violation of an order of protection, damage and burglary. Here is information from the latest La Grange police reports:

Aggravated assault

  • A 38-year-old La Grange man who lives in the 10 block of West Harris Avenue was arrested about 3 p.m. May 11 at his home on charges of domestic battery, aggravated assault and unlawful use of a weapon.

  • A person hit another person about 8:30 a.m. May 7 at the Lymphatic Wellness Clinic (Luxxe Honor), 311 W. Hillgrove Ave. The victim did not want to sign a complaint. No injury was reported.

Violation of an order of protection

  • A 34-year-old La Grange man who lives in the 10 block of West Burlington Avenue was arrested at his home on a charge of violation of an order of protection. The incident occurred April 24.

  • Two people accosted another person about 4 a.m. May 12 in front of the victim's house in the 10 block of Washington Avenue. The victim refused to cooperate with police.

Damage

  • The rear door of a business at 6 Burlington Ave. was reported damaged Wednesday. The damage was estimated at $1,000.

Burglary

  • Work tools and identification were reported stolen May 7 from a parked van in the 700 block of East Cossitt Avenue. The items were valued at $1,300.

DUI

  • A 44-year-old Hillside man was arrested about 1 a.m. May 13 on North Madison Avenue on charges of DUI and improper lane use.
