Battery

Police responded to a neighbor dispute about 4 a.m. on New Year's Day in the 500 block of South La Grange Road. The incident was listed as a battery. In its media report, the police said, "A resident had an altercation with a neighbor, due to a misunderstanding, which resulted in mutual combatants."

Aggravated battery

Daniel Maldonado, 24, who lives at the Uptown La Grange Apartments, 31 E. Ogden Ave., was arrested about 3 a.m. Saturday at the apartment complex on a charge of aggravated battery.

Fraud

A resident in the 800 block of South Kensington Avenue told police Thursday that someone opened a Verizon account using the resident's information. No financial loss was reported.
