La Grange Car Parade Planned For Thursday
Business owners want to thank community for its support during this time.
LA GRANGE, IL — An "impromptu" vehicle parade of local business owners is set for 11 a.m. Thursday and will wind through the village. This is their way of thanking the community for its support, according to the La Grange Business Association.
Called the "2020 La Grange Business Thank You Tour," vehicles are set to be decorated with colorful signs, banners and balloons as business owners wave to residents in their show of gratitude, the association said. Car radios will be tuned to WLTL Radio 88.1, a nonprofit radio station run out of Lyons Township High School, as the parade rolls along.
Vehicles will line up in the public parking lot at Sixth Avenue and Harris Street and proceed east down Harris Street to Bluff Avenue, south to Elm Street and west to Ninth Avenue as they begin a route through La Grange neighborhoods.
