La Grange Park Man Arrested In Shooting: Cops

The resident was charged after a report of gunshots in a local neighborhood, police said.

LA GRANGE PARK, IL – A La Grange Park man was arrested in connection with a shooting in town Tuesday morning, police said.

John G. Peterson, 24, who lives in the 1000 block of Homestead Road, was charged with reckless discharge of a firearm, a felony, and reckless conduct, a misdemeanor.

About 9:30 a.m., La Grange Park police received a report of gunshots heard near Beach and Harding avenues, authorities said. Officers found Peterson in the area, along with a gun and spent casings, police said.
