La Grange Park Public Library is Moving Temporarily!

The day is almost here! The Building Project is about to start. We want to share the most important information. We'll keep bringing you the personalized service to which you are accustomed. We are working behind the scenes now and plan to open our temporary space to the public on Wednesday, August 16. Here are the main logistics:

• Our library will be COMPLETELY CLOSED from Monday, August 7-Tuesday, August 15.
• Our 555 N. La Grange Rd., La Grange Park location, will be closed from Monday, August 7 – approximately May 2024.
• Starting Wednesday, August 16, 2023, you can visit us at our temporary location, in First Baptist Church of La Grange, located at 21 N. Catherine Ave., LA GRANGE, IL.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All due dates have been extended to August 31. Please do not return items to the La Grange Park Library between August 7-15. If necessary, they may be returned at any neighboring library or to our temporary location beginning August 16.

Renovation Communications:
It is our priority to keep you informed throughout our renovation. We will communicate with you in three ways:

1. If you do not already receive our weekly eNews, it’s easy to join! All we require is an email address. Sign up at lplibrary.org/newsletter. eNews is delivered to your inbox each Friday at 10 a.m.
2. The easiest way to stay informed is to sign up for text messages. We will text the most important updates. Text LPPL to 8332634555 to opt in to text messages.
3. As always, our Building Project webpage will be updated as new information comes in. Check it regularly!

Holds During Closure (Monday, August 7 – Tuesday, August 15):
All active holds placed at La Grange Park Library will be suspended until August 16 unless a different pick up location is set. Anything already in transit will still come to La Grange Park Library. Our friends at Linda Sokol Francis Brookfield Library will help us by allowing you to pick up your holds at their library. In order to do so, You must UNSUSPEND YOUR HOLD and CHANGE YOUR PICKUP LOCATION via your SWAN account online or through the SWAN app. Linda Sokol Francis Brookfield Library is located at 3541 Park Ave, Brookfield, IL 60513. If you are unsure about the status of your holds, please call us through August 6 at (708) 352-0100.
