La Grange Police Official Graduates From FBI Academy

Uher, a 22-year police department veteran, completed the FBI's 10-week executive development program.

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange Deputy Chief Kenneth Uher recently graduated from the FBI National Academy, the police department announced Thursday.

It's a 10-week program focused on advanced communication, leadership and fitness training.

According to the department, participants in the FBI National Academy must have proven records to attend. The department also said attending officers have an average of 21 years of law enforcement experience.

Since joining the police department in 2004, Uher has served as a patrol officer, detective, school resource officer, squad leader, sergeant and, since 2023, deputy chief.

Uher holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice.

"The experience was truly unique, and the lessons learned will help to strengthen our commitment to delivering the best possible services to our community," Uher said in a news release.

The 253 participating officers hailed from 48
states, the District of Columbia, and 24 countries.
