La Grange Police Official Retiring

Official has worked in the police department for more than two decades.

LA GRANGE, IL — A top official in the La Grange Police Department is retiring Wednesday. Deputy Chief Andy Peters has served the village for more than two dozen years.

The police department made the announcement on its Facebook page Tuesday afternoon.

In reaction to the post, one woman wrote, "La Grange has been fortunate to have you. I'll miss your smiling face, but happy to see you getting on to something new and exciting. Please come back for an official village farewell when COVID-19 times are under control."

According to Peters' LinkedIn page, he has been the deputy chief since 2015. He got his master's degree in public administration from Northern Illinois University in 2008.
