La Grange Police Seeking Unwrapped Toy Donations

Contributors can get free pass to park district's indoor playground.

LA GRANGE, IL — The La Grange Police Department is hosting a Stuff the Squad event with the La Grange Park District. Residents are asked to bring an unwrapped toy donation for children ages 3 to 17. The event is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at the park district, 536 East Ave., in La Grange.

By bringing donations to put in the police squad, residents will be given a free pass by the La Grange Park District to use the indoor playground while the event is taking place.

This will be a chance for residents to meet local officers and participate in holiday-themed activities. All proceeds will be donated to the All Our Children’s Advocacy Center. The center is an agency used in the Fifth District of Cook County that is trained in interviewing child victims and witnesses of violent crimes. It provides followup services for these children, who will receive the toys.
