La Grange Private Roads May Get Police Enforcement
A new subdivision's residents overwhelmingly want police patrols, according to a letter.

LA GRANGE, IL – A La Grange subdivision's homeowners association is seeking police enforcement of parking and traffic laws on its private streets.
On Monday, the Village Board plans to vote on the request.
Earlier this month, the homeowners association for the Mason Pointe subdivision informed the village in a letter that residents overwhelmingly requested police enforcement.

The neighborhood of newer homes is northwest of Bluff Avenue and 47th Street. Its streets include Ashley Avenue and Filson Street.
The village would enforce rules such as the ban on overnight parking and parking after two inches of snowfall, according to a village memo.

Under a proposed agreement, the subdivision would still be required to maintain its streets.
The subdivision is on the site of the old Illinois Masonic Children's Home, which closed its doors six years ago.
