La Grange Restaurant Dine-And-Dashers Caught: Cops

In another case, three suspects stole more than $700 in beauty products from a La Grange store, police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange police released their latest blotter Friday. Here is information from the reports:

Restaurant dine and dash

  • Andre L. Coleman Jr., 27, of Broadview, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and theft of services. A 20-year-old Hillside man was arrested in the same incident on charges of theft of services and obstructing identification. The incident occurred about 5 p.m. Thursday at Casa Margarita restaurant, 32 S. La Grange Road. Theft of services at a restaurant is commonly known as dining and dashing.

Retail theft

  • Three people stole more than $700 in beauty products March 9 from Walgreens, 2 N. La Grange Road. No other information was provided.

Damage

  • A man parked his car in the parking lot at Horton's Ace Hardware, 60 S. La Grange Road. When he returned, the front end and hood were damaged. No witness or video is available. The report was filed at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Fraud

  • A resident in the 200 block of Kensington Avenue told police March 6 about getting a letter from a cellphone company asking for more information to open his account. Since he doesn't use that carrier, he called the company, which said it would investigate.
