La Grange Road Rage Suspect Had Weapon: Cops

In another case, a man was accused of damaging the village's parking garage.

LA GRANGE, IL – In the last few days, La Grange police handled cases involving road rage, criminal damage and theft. Here is information from the reports:

Road rage

  • Joseph Jackson, 44, of New Iberia, Louisiana, was arrested about 8 a.m. Monday at La Grange Road and Ogden Avenue on a charge of unlawful use of a weapon. Police said he was charged after being in a road rage incident that started at 51st Street and La Grange Road.

Criminal damage

  • Isaiah Noe, 19, of North Riverside, was arrested about 5:30 p.m. Sunday on a charge of damage to village property. He was accused of doing a burnout in the parking garage at 80 S. Sixth Ave., causing damage.

No valid license

  • David Vargas, 24, of Cicero, was cited about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at La Grange Road and Elm Avenue on charges of no valid driver's license and improper turn.

Theft

  • Someone stole a wireless speaker from a display March 10 at Verizon Wireless, 5 S. La Grange Road. The item was valued at $20.
  • A set of keys and an Apple AirTag were stolen from a mailbox in the 10 block of North Brainard Avenue. The AirTag was later found on the street. The theft was reported Saturday.
  • Four sets of mittens were reported stolen Tuesday at Jackson Square Antique Mall, 112 E. Burlington Ave. The loss was $151.

Identity theft

  • A resident in the 100 block of South Sunset Avenue told police March 10 that someone used the resident's credit card number without authorization at Nordstrom. The loss was about $4,000. The charge is being disputed.
  • A resident in the 10 block of Dover Avenue told police Monday that someone used the resident's Social Security card number to obtain a $60,000 loan. No financial loss was reported.
