La Grange Store Burglarized; Merchandise Stolen
In another case, a woman was charged with aggravated assault, police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – In the last few weeks, La Grange police handled cases involving a store burglary, aggravated assault, a weapon violation, a car break-in, theft and DUIs. Here is information from the latest La Grange police reports:
Store burglary
- The AT&T store, 1 N. La Grange Road, was reported burglarized July 13. Merchandise was stolen. The case is pending.
Aggravated assault

- A 42-year-old Tinley Park woman was arrested about 2 p.m. June 18 on an aggravated assault charge. Patch has filed a public records request for the police report.
Battery
- An 18-year-old man was arrested about 8 p.m. June 19 on charges of battery and unlawful possession of a weapon. Police said the incident occurred in the 200 block of South Ashland Avenue.
Car burglary

- A laptop and a phone were reported stolen from an unlocked car June 9 in the 1000 block of Eighth Avenue.
Theft
- Several tires were reported stolen June 15 from D.M.J. Automotive, 603 S. La Grange Road. The tires were valued at $2,700.
- A locked scooter valued at $500 was reported stolen June 23 from the bike rack at the La Grange train station, 4 W. Burlington Ave. An investigation is pending.
Retail theft
- A man was arrested about 7 p.m. June 3 on a retail theft charge. Police said the incident occurred at Walgreens, 2 N. La Grange Road. His hometown and age were not given.
DUI
- A 30-year-old La Grange man who lives in the 800 block of Arlington Avenue was arrested about 3 a.m. June 22 in the 200 block of South Brainard Avenue on a DUI charge.
- A Chicago man, whose age was unavailable, was arrested about 4:30 p.m. July 1 on North La Grange Road on a DUI charge.
