The LeaderShop Event Raising Money for Local Charities Beyond Own Organization

The LeaderShop Event Raising Money for Local Charities

For the second year in a row, The LeaderShop’s annual fundraiser, Pirate Party (on Friday, March 6, 2015, at Brookfield Zoo’s Discovery Center), will exemplify its mission and commitment to the community by collaborating with local area leaders in hosting this event. Community and school leaders who have agreed to be “locked up in the brig” have chosen a charity to which 25% of all bailout funds each volunteer prisoner raises will be donated. The other 75% is raised to support The LeaderShop.

The LeaderShop believes this collaborative effort mirrors the community mindedness of it’s mission “to empower youth to become community-minded individuals through diverse programs that foster confidence, knowledge and leadership.”

The community and school leaders have volunteered to be put in the brig until their bailout goal has been raised. The ten Pirate Party Prisoners are the following: Bob Bures, Jennifer Conroyd, Dan Hennebry, Keith Hill, Colleen Kelly, Mike McNicholas, John Passarella, Dean Rouso, Marti Tracy and Bill Wilson and their charities include: Aging Care Connections, Cantata Best Life Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Pillars of La Grange, Riverside-Brookfield High School and St. Baldricks. Dean Rouso of Baird & Warner La Grange even put together this video promoting his fundraising efforts: http://bbemaildelivery.com/bbext/?p=land&id=106B872DCC35C128E0508D0A988021BD
