Longtime La Grange Official Retiring In Summer

The village is looking to hire an executive recruitment firm.

LA GRANGE, IL – Lou Cipparrone, La Grange's finance director, plans to retire in June after three decades with the village government.

According to a village memo, Cipparrone has served a "long and distinguished career."

On Monday, the Village Board plans to vote on a contract with Northbrook-based GovHR USA to help find a replacement for Cipparrone.

The contract is slated to cost $19,500, plus spending for advertising, background checks and consultant travel.

The village has recruited other top officials with the help of GovHR.
