LTEA, Board of Education Approve 5-Year Negotiated Agreement

The Lyons Twp HS District Board of Education and Lyons Twp Education Association (LTEA) approve 5-year Negotiated Agreement

The Lyons Township High School District 204 Board of Education and the Lyons Township Education Association have released the following joint statement today:

“The Lyons Twp HS District Board of Education and Lyons Twp Education Association (LTEA) each approved a new five-year negotiated agreement that will replace the 2018-2023 contract at the end of this school year.

The agreement provides a base salary increase of 14% over the life of the 5-year contract, per the following schedule:

  • Year 1: 4%
  • Year 2: 3%
  • Year 3: 3%
  • Year 4: 2%
  • Year 5: 2%

The agreement also includes a 6% increase for summer academic program wages and includes no changes to the insurance contribution percentages.

The negotiated five-year extension to the current contract aligns with a key goal of the LT Strategic Plan, which aims to attract, recruit, hire, mentor, support, and retain strong employees who reflect the LT community and commit to our mission, vision, core values, and goals.

The LT Board of Education and LTEA leadership would like to thank the members of the negotiating teams for their collaboration and dedication throughout this process. We are grateful to come to an agreement that balances the needs of our district and our educators moving forward.

The approved agreement takes effect July 1, 2023, and will sunset on June 30, 2028.”
