LTHS Plans Hybrid Model For Reopening

School has yet to reveal details about its plan for new academic year.

LA GRANGE, IL — Lyons Township High School has not released details about its plans for the new school year. It is currently reviewing the results of a survey, the school announced in a statement Thursday.

The district did say that it plans to start the school year with a hybrid model, with a half day of in-person learning. Specific details of the model are being finalized, with the district aiming to unveil information next week. The school said its reopening plan will emphasize recommendations from the Illinois School Board of Education and the state Department of Public Health.

"Because of the fluid nature of the pandemic, our re-opening plans are subject to change," the school said in the statement. "Thank you for your continued patience as we work toward creating a safe and healthy transition for our students and staff.
