LTSC U15 Boys Win 2nd in State Cup

The Lyons Township Soccer Club Boys U15 Showcase team competed in the finals of the Illinois State Cup on Sunday, May 31, 2015. LTSC advanced to the state championship match after defeating the Chicago Fire Raiders Elite 1-0 in the semi-final on May 30. LTSC played GLSA Libertyville FC 1974, with Libertyville ultimately defeating LTSC 2-0.
This marks the second time the team has played in the state cup final, the 2014 title game also featured LTSC and Libertyville. The Illinois State Cup is the most prestigious tournament in Illinois and the official state championship tournament of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series.

The squad will continue their play at the US Club Soccer National Club XIV Midwest Regional June 26-29, 2015.

The LTSC Boys U15 Showcase team is Sander Adriani, Ian Bales, Charlie Clarke, Sam DeBoer, Quinn Fraser, Eric Gradilla, Tyler Guagenti, Charlie Hall, Nick Jacobs, Luke Lusson, Brady McKay, Adam McGahay, Karel Ondra, Philip Panopoulos, Joe Reinhofer, Nate Rusk, Jack Richards, Tate Riordan and Matt Vear. The team is coached by Andrew
Parry and Paul Murphy.

The National Cup is US Club Soccer’s cup-based national championship competition. Winning teams from National Cup XIIV Regionals and qualifying state cups in the U-13 through U-17 age groups advance to the National Cup XIV Finals, where National Cup XIV national championships will be awarded. Teams advance to the National Cup XIV
Finals by winning a National Cup XIV Regional event or through qualifying state cups. National titles will be awarded in two competitive divisions: Super Group and Premier Group. The national championship competition concludes with the National Cup XIV Finals, July 17-20 at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind.
