Many Break La Grange Solicitor Rules: Official
A company is praised for getting permission from the village before going door to door.

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange trustees this week approved an Elmhurst-based company to solicit door to door in town.
Trustee Beth Augustine said she liked that Orange Elephant Roofing & Solar followed the village's rules on solicitations.
"Kudos to them for doing what I think a lot of companies don't, which is to apply to officially be able to solicit," she said.

The only firm now on the list is Power Home Remodeling, which has days designated for soliciting through mid-September.
Approved solicitors are allowed to knock on doors from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Residents can register on the village's website to join the no-solicitor list.
Augustine noted organizations must get the village's permission to leave door hangers. And she said people are barred from placing signs in the village's parkways. They can only do so if the village explicitly approves it for a public purpose.
