'Massive Pothole' On Major La Grange Street

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange on Monday acknowledged a big pothole on East Avenue near the intersection with Ogden Avenue.

At a Village Board meeting, local businessman Dan Spain described it as a "massive pothole."

Rick Colby, the village's public works director, said the village did a temporary patch. But with the large amount of traffic, he said, it didn't last long.

He said the village has informed the state Department of Transportation, which owns the road.

That section of East Avenue is a divider between La Grange and Brookfield.
