OK, how have I been missing out how this pizza all this time? I made my first trip to DiNico's Pizzeria in La Grange and came away happy and stuffed.

First of all, my wallet my happy. For just $5 you get a giant slice of pizza (about one-quarter of an extra-large pie) and unlimited pop.

The restaurant boasts this as the largest slice in the world, and regardless of whether that's true this is more pizza than anyone needs in one sitting. My recommendation: Go with a friend and pay $2.50 each.

The pizza itself was very good, not great. I liked the large pieces of sausage I got on my slice, as well as the fact that it was a sturdier than many thin-crust slices you'll find this large. My favorite slice of pizza in the area is Bacci's in Berwyn, and while I would still choose that first, I'm happy to know DiNico's has a great deal for some good pizza.
