Milano Day Spa and Wellness Center Under New Ownership and New Focus

December 22, 2015 - Milano Day Spa & Wellness Center in Indian Head Park was recently purchased by Countryside residents, Victor and Michelle Geraci. Michelle, formerly an esthetician at Kohler Water’s Spa in Burr Ridge, worked for the original owner of Milano in previous years, so she was already familiar with the business upon taking it over. To celebrate the Spa and Wellness Center’s new ownership, the couple planned a Grand Opening reception on December 5, 2015. The event was kicked off with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony arranged by the Countryside Business Association (CBA). Indian Head Park Mayor, Tom Hinshaw, Village Trustees, Amy Jo Wittenberg and Brenda O’Laughlin, and CBA board members and the executive director, watched as the Geraci’s cut the ribbon, commemorating the beginning of their new endeavor. At the celebration, attendees were treated to complimentary chair massages, ear needling, and nail art, and had the chance to win a complimentary service through one of the raffles. Attendees enjoyed wine and beer, provided by Kenwood Liquors in Oak Lawn, and delicious catered fare.

Milano Day Spa and Wellness Center is focused on providing excellent service and going above and beyond. Their simple philosophy is:

Milano specializes in day spa services, including: manicures, pedicures, facials, and massage therapy. Body work including: waxing, wraps, anti-cellulite and detoxification treatments, are offered as well. Wellness services include acupuncture, nutrition, weight loss, and health coaching. Additionally, Milano Day Spa & Wellness Center is a member of the Advantage Club at Score Sports Center in Willow Springs, which offers discounts for Score members at local businesses.

Vic and Michelle are long-time residents of Countryside with two teenage daughters. They are excited to embark on this journey and to work near the community in which they live. Michelle stated, “We live in a fast-paced, hectic society. It is hard to carve out time for yourself, but if you don’t take the time to care for yourself, you may not be able to care for others. We are proud to offer our services and to positively impact people’s lives, one manicure at a time.”
