Money Stolen From La Grange School Collection Box: Police

In another case, a wallet was stolen from an unlocked car at a local store, authorities said.

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange police have released their latest blotter. Here is information from the reports:

School money stolen

  • A candlelight collection box valued at $500 was reported damaged Jan. 12 at St. Cletus Catholic School. An unknown amount of money was stolen.

Wallet theft

  • A wallet containing $75 to $100 in cash and credit cards was stolen from an unlocked car at Trader Joe's, 25 N. La Grange Road. The report was filed Jan. 19.

Attempted burglary

  • Someone tried to break into a garage Dec. 23 in the 10 block of Sixth Avenue. The garage door handle was torn off. Nothing was reported stolen.
