Nazareth Academy Junior Finishes 7th In State Diving Finals
Eva dove at the IHSA State Finals held at New Trier High School, advancing through preliminaries and semi-finals to finish seventh in State.
LA GRANGE PARK, IL — Junior Eva Kelly of Chicago has not let the fact that Nazareth doesn't have a Diving team stop her from pursuing her dream or creating her legacy. The school said she has continued to train with her coach, while working with Naz Athletics to represent her school in IHSA competition.
On Nov. 17 and 18, Kelly dove at the IHSA State Finals held at New Trier High School, advancing through preliminaries and semi-finals to finish seventh in State.
“Eva is a perfect fit at Nazareth,” college counselor Brendan Green said in a release. “It is apparent through
her hard work, grace under pressure and warm personality. I am as impressed with her as a young woman as I am with her as an athlete. We are blessed to have her at Nazareth and are excited to watch her continue to grow.”
