New American Paintings: Midwest Edition at the Elmhurst Art Museum
New American Paintings: Midwest Edition at the Elmhurst Art Museum opens May 16.

The fine art publication, New American Paintings, brings 40 original works to the Elmhurst Art Museum. The works, selected by Elmhurst Art Museum Chief Curator Staci Boris, highlights the ways paint is used as a medium in contemporary art. New American Paintings: Midwest Edition features artists from Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Indiana, Missouri, Iowa and Ohio.
The exhibition opens May 16 with an “Opening Weekend Public Program: Conversation with NAP Artists” at 1:00 p.m. Additional public programs happen the Third Thursday of each month with a wine reception in one gallery and a family workshop in the program space.
