New Leader For La Grange And Hinsdale Hospitals
Interim CEO is appointed to head the hospitals. The former chief served since 2017.

LA GRANGE, IL — The hospitals in La Grange and Hinsdale have a new leader. Michael Murrill recently left the company to take a job in Georgia. Chief Operations Officer Adam Maycock is now the interim CEO for the Amita Adventist medical centers in La Grange and Hinsdale.
Asked about the future of the CEO position, Amita spokeswoman Olga Solares told Patch in an email, "We are currently consulting with physician and community leaders and hope to have information to share in the coming week or two."
In mid-May, Florida-based AdventHealth announced Murrill was named president and CEO of AdventHealth's southeast region, which includes hospitals in Georgia, Kentucky and North Carolina. He will serve as CEO of two of the chain's rural hospitals in northwestern Georgia. His first day there was last week, according to an AdventHealth news release.

Murrill became CEO of the La Grange hospital in 2017, and a year ago, he was given the same title for the Hinsdale hospital. He worked for the Adventist Health System for 18 years, according to an Amita news release.
Before joining as chief operations officer in La Grange and Hinsdale in 2017, Maycock was a health care executive in Florida.

On Monday, Maycock spoke to the La Grange Village Board during its virtual meeting. He told the board that the hospital's mission was to "extend the healing ministry of Jesus. That's a very lofty calling for us, certainly for me."
"In this interim role, I certainly look to do that on a daily basis," he said. "We are proud of our mission."
