Outages Remain In La Grange Park: Village

The village said it is tracking ComEd's work in restoring power.

LA GRANGE PARK, IL – As of mid-morning Wednesday, 224 homes were still without power in La Grange Park, the village said. The outages are the result of Monday night's storm.

In a statement, the village said its latest update was that ComEd had crews on site throughout the village. The crews plan to work nonstop until they restore service, the village said.

"The Village is tracking restorations and communicating with ComEd to urge restoration," the statement said.

Meanwhile, temperatures are forecast to rise to 97 degrees Wednesday in La Grange Park. A cooling center is available at Village Hall, 447 N. Catherine Ave.

The village said public works and contractor crews are addressing trees, branches and other debris in the parkways as a result of the storm. The work is expected to last several days.

The village is asking residents to not put branches or brush in the street. The branches need to be in the parkway with the stump ends facing the curb, the village said.
