Parade Features Honorary Grand Marshals

Pet Parade Honorary Grand Marshals are Downtown Shabby Stars and Troop 14

The La Grange Pet Parade is coming up soon on Saturday, June 3, 2017. This will be the 71st annual parade. The parade steps off at 9:30am from the La Grange Public Library and ends at the Lyons Township High School North Campus at approximately 11:30.

Boy Scout Troop 14 of La Grange will be an Honorary Grand Marshal in this year's parade. Troop 14 which was chartered in 1917 is celebrating its 100th anniversary and has marched in all 71 Pet Parades. Many years, you will see Troop 14 scouts carrying the act banners throughout the parade. Troop 14 is dedicated to outdoor adventures, youth leadership development, rank advancement, and the ideals of being a Scout.

Also being honored this year as Honorary Grand Marshals are Sherry and Frank Fontana from the DIY network show, “Downtown Shabby”. Their cable network show features homes from around the country including the La Grange area. Their focus is on vintage properties that are in need of renovation.
