PDLG Seeks to Replace Commissioner Rob Lynch

PDLG Seeks to Replace Commissioner Rob Lynch

The Park District of La Grange received official notice last week from Commissioner Rob Lynch indicating his intent to resign from the Board of Commissioners effective immediately. Mr. Lynch has accepted employment out of state.

Commissioner Lynch was elected in April 2013 to fill a vacancy created when Tim Kelpsas decided not to run for reelection. Although his tenure at the Park District was short, Rob’s friendly nature and collaborative spirit will be missed. As chair of the User Group Committee, Rob acted as liaison to affiliate groups such as AYSO, Little League, Babe Ruth, and other Youth Sport Leagues.

The Board of Commissioners is now seeking an individual to replace Commissioner Lynch until the April 2015 election, and possibly run for election in April 2015. We are looking for someone who will bring positive energy to the Board and work collaboratively with others. Any person who wishes to be considered for this appointment should send a statement of interest and a letter of qualification/or a resume to Dean Bissias, Board Secretary at deanbissias@pdlg.org or 536 East Avenue, La Grange, Illinois. All inquiries must be received no later than 5pm on Thursday October 2, 2014.
