Pedestrian Hit by Car in LTHS Parking Lot

Here is a list of items taken from the La Grange police blotter.

A pedestrian was hit by a car in the main parking lot of the Lyons Township High School North Campus, 100 S. Brainard Ave., at about 12:22 p.m. July 26. The pedestrian was not reported injured. An ambulance was on the scene. The police shift report did not indicate whether the pedestrian was a student and male or female. No further information was available from police.

Traffic altercation leads to spitting

A La Grange man told police he was in a traffic altercation at about 8 a.m. July 25 at Madison and Ogden avenues in which the other driver spit on him. The other driver was in a black Navigator.

Driver gets 5 tickets

Javier Lopez, 44 of Chicago was ticketed for no driver’s license and four other unidentified traffic violations by La Grange police at 536 East Ave. at about 12:09 a.m. July 26.

Driver confesses to hitting parking garage

A Chicago woman came to the La Grange police station at about 9:51 a.m. July 26 to say she hit the parking garage, 80 S. Sixth Ave., with her car. The police shift report did not indicate whether she received a ticket or the amount of damage to the garage.

Police force wasn’t with him

George E. Lucas, 38, of Vernon Hills was ticketed by La Grange police for driving while his registration is suspended by the secretary of state’s office at Plainfield and LaGrange roads at about 5:45 a.m.  July 27.

Moving truck, car collided

No injuries were reported when a 2005 International truck owned by Dels Movers in Saginaw, Mich., collided with a 2008 Land Rover driven by a Westchester woman at Cossitt Avenue and LaGrange Road at about 7:55 p.m. July 23. No tickets were issued.

No injuries in parking lot accident

Both drivers refused medical treatment when their cars collided at about 12:41 p.m. July 24 in a parking lot at 2 N. LaGrange Road. The left rear of a 20067 Saab driven by an 18-year-old La Grange woman collided with  the middle left of a 2009 GMC driven by a 62-year-old La Grange Park man, police said. No tickets were issued.
