Playoff Tracker: LT, Nazareth Spring Sports

It's playoff season for high school spring sports, and we're tracking all the action at Lyons Township and Nazareth. 

With such a rich history of sporting success at our high schools, here's a quick and easy way to track the teams.

***"Next game" indicates the teams' next playoff game, not necessarily their next regular season game. 

Badminton

State finals are May 10-11. 

• Lyons Township: Won the Reavis sectional. State singles qualifiers are Stephanie Lin and Elizabeth Abbs. Doubles qualifiers are Jamie Duncan and Emma Thimmig. 

Baseball

State finals are May 31-June 1. Playoff brackets released May 8. 

• Lyons Township: Will play in Reavis 4A sectional.
• Nazareth: Will play in Nazareth 3A sectional.

Gymnastics (Boys)

State finals meet is May 10-11.

• Lyons Township: Placed third in the Downers Grove sectional. Individual state qualifiers: Chris Rediehs (floor exercise, pommel horse, parallel bars, high bar); Noah Mennemeier (pommel horse); 

Soccer (Girls)

State finals are May 31-June 1. 

• Lyons Township: Next game is 5 p.m. May 14 vs. Addison Trail in the Class 3A regional semifinals. 
• Nazareth: Next game is 4:30 p.m. May 14 vs. Gage Park in the Class 2A regional semifinals. 

Softball

State finals are June 7-8. Playoff brackets released May 8. 

• Lyons Township: Will play in the Richards 4A sectional. 
• Nazareth: Will play in the Nazareth 3A sectional. 

Tennis (Boys)

State finals meet is May 23-25. 

• Lyons Township: Will compete in Hinsdale Central sectional May 17-18.
• Nazareth: Will compete in Hinsdale Central sectional May 17-18.

Track & Field (Boys)

State finals meet is May 23-25. 

• Lyons Township: Will compete in LT 3A sectional May 17. 
• Nazareth: Will compete in Fenwick 2A sectional May 16. 

Track & Field (Girls)

State finals meet is May 16-18. 

• Lyons Township: Will compete in LT 3A sectional May 10.
• Nazareth: Will compete in Glenbard South 2A sectional May 10. 

Volleyball (Boys)

State finals are May 31-June 1. 

• Lyons Township: Next game is 6:30 p.m. May 21 vs. the Nazareth/Hinsdale South winner.
• Nazareth: Next game is 6:30 p.m. May 20 vs. Hinsdale South, played at Benet in the regional quarterfinals. 

Water Polo (Boys)

State finals are May 16-18. 

• Lyons Township: Next game is 7 p.m. May 9 vs. Little Village in the Fenwick sectional quarterfinals. 

Water Polo (Girls)

State finals are May 16-18. 

• Lyons Township: Next game is 7 p.m. May 8 vs. Riverside-Brookfield in the Fenwick sectional quarterfinals.
