Pumpkin Time! helps with Halloween classroom party planning
This week schools around the country will hold Halloween parties. A new book can help make party planning easier.
Local moms groups are all talking about Halloween party planning. A new book called Pumpkin Time! by Erzi Deak can make it easy to plan a fun Halloween party for younger children.
To start, the book has a darling story about an industrious young girl named Evy. She’s entirely focused on tending to her garden, which creates humorous situations as she seems oblivious to the antics going on around her. Children will adore how Evy never seems to see what is happening, unless it’s happening in her garden. Younger children will learn how hard work and commitment benefit all the book’s characters when Evy shares her pumpkin pie. She might have missed some of the earlier fun, but her garden helped create more fun.
Another great feature of Pumpkin Time! is all the information included. At the end children will find pumpkin recipes, pumpkin facts and details about how to grow your own pumpkins. Schools can use this to inspire kids to create a pumpkin craft or create their own pumpkin recipes. Everyone loves the kids’ Thanksgiving recipes that pop up in the news every November. These are unintentionally funny as kids see the world in a very different way than adults.
